Meet the New Target Audience
Target Audience: My new magazine will target young adults aged 16 to 25 by using celebrities above their age range whom they can conceivably aspire to be like. They will be mainly from the ABC1 demographic as they need to have enough disposable income to afford the glossy magazine and even more income to afford any of the products advertised. Vogue often advertises Samsung and Gucci whilst GQ spent $100m on advertising well-known deodorant or body wash brands such as Old Spice or expensive alcohol like Bombay Sapphire last year. These are aimed at roughly the same demographic of affluent and aspirational young people who want to become something more with brands that show off their status. My new magazine will advertise similar products which the front cover stars use and endorse so that this same demographic is attracted to buy the magazine and the products it represents.
